Issues

We need to reduce our dependence of foreign oil. It’s imperative for both a strong economy and our national security. I support renewable energy sources, including ethanol, but I still believe the United States needs to be committed to exploring and recovering all of the potential energy sources we have here at home. With gasoline is approaching four dollars per gallon, we need to expand domestic energy production. After all, America has the most combined recoverable oil, natural gas, and coal reserves in the world, and it’s time to start utilizing them.

I’ve released a detailed and comprehensive plan to reduce energy costs and make America energy independent. In my plan, I have proposed reducing burdensome regulations, encouraging domestic oil production, expanding nuclear and clean coal technology, and allowing the private sector to further the development of alternative energy sources.
