LINCOLN, Nebraska, November 4, 2012 - Today, former United State Senators Bob and Elizabeth Dole endorsed Deb Fischer for U.S. Senate.

“We strongly support Deb Fischer. Washington needs her clear, fresh voice. Deb’s positive vision directly reflects Nebraskans’ love of freedom and prosperity,” said Bob and Elizabeth Dole. “We urge voters to cast their ballot for Deb and her agenda for better governance and a better future for Nebraska, its people, and our nation.”

Former Majority Leader Bob Dole represented Kansas in the U.S. Senate from 1969 to 1996. Universally respected as a statesman and consensus builder, Dole was the Republican Party’s presidential nominee in 1996.

Elizabeth Dole represented North Carolina in the U.S. Senate from 2003 to 2009. She also served as Secretary of Transportation under President Ronald Reagan, Secretary of Labor under President George H.W. Bush, and was President of the American Red Cross from 1991 to 1999.
