Deb Fischer Statement on June Unemployment Report

July 6, 2012

“America Can Do Better. Washington Can Learn Many Lessons From What We’ve Done Here In Nebraska.”

“Nebraska Needs A Senator Who Will Bring Fiscally Conservative Nebraska Principles To Washington And Fight For A Balanced Budget Amendment, Fundamental Tax Reform And Regulatory Relief For America’s Job Creators.”

LINCOLN, Nebraska, July 6, 2012 - Following today’s June Unemployment Report, U.S. Senate candidate Deb Fischer released the following statement:

“Today’s disappointing jobs report confirms what we already knew: the private sector is struggling and Washington isn’t doing enough to improve our nation’s economic outlook.

“We have now experienced 41 consecutive months with unemployment rate over 8%, and too many Americans are either working several jobs to make ends meet or have given up the job search altogether.

“America can do better. Washington can learn many lessons from what we’ve done here in Nebraska. By balancing the budget, controlling spending, and keeping the tax and regulatory burden low for Nebraskan families and businesses, we’ve created a climate conducive to growth and job creation.

“Nebraska needs a Senator who will bring fiscally conservative Nebraska principles to Washington and fight for a balanced budget amendment, fundamental tax reform and regulatory relief for America’s job creators.”
