Deb Fischer for U.S. Senate Announces Student Ambassador Program

January 24, 2012 – Today, Senator Deb Fischer, a Republican candidate for U.S. Senate, announced the campaign’s Student Ambassador Program, a unique opportunity for students in Nebraska.

The Student Ambassador Program is designed for high school and college students who want to gain political campaign experience.  The program is structured to give flexibility to students who have limited time and busy schedules.

To apply for a student ambassadorship, students will go through a series of interviews.  If accepted into the program, student ambassadors will assist the campaign with basic office tasks, voter contact, research and a variety of campaign activities.   When the program ends, student ambassadors will have obtained comprehensive experience on a political campaign and have a valuable asset on his or her resume.

Students interested in applying for the Student Ambassador Program should call (402) 742-0084 or email

“Young people are the future of Nebraska and our campaign’s Student Ambassador Program will give them an inside look at an exciting campaign for U.S. Senate,” Senator Deb Fischer said.   “I look forward to working with students all across Nebraska.  By working together, we can help bring conservative leadership to the United States Senate.”
